The Goodwins start their journey home to Brise Soleil as Sam challenges Boden and Magnus with the truths of Elyon, encouraging a new path. But after experiencing the power of the mysterious, sunstone-powered engine, Boden is consumed by another mission.
Wait a minute, Magnus! Wait a minute!
Speaker 2Get out of here, Cy!
Speaker 1I get that up in your arm, Magnus. Come on down first, then I'll open the door. Oh, you can open the door.
Speaker 2Come on, Magnus. Stop it! I just wanna talk, Cy. That's all.
Speaker 1No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I think you need a time. Come on, Magnus, give me a break.
Speaker 2I'm gonna give you something, all right.
Speaker 1I see that soot on your face and the scratches on your massive chest and the nail in your foot. Truth be told, I've seen that one for the first time. Truly sorry about that. Cy? Truth is, Magnus, we didn't know the rock would do that. Yeah, we were just as surprised as you are.
Speaker 3Relax, brother. Relax? That engine's power was well beyond anything I've ever seen. Boden, we could have been killed. Or we could have killed someone. But we didn't. No harm, no foul. Well, the question is, how do we fix it? No. The question is, how do you fix it? I'm out of here. You guys can tell your anonymous client that you failed. Who's that? I'll take care of it. Probably some noisy kids.
Speaker 8Listen, we're busy. Oh. Hello. Funny place to park a boat.
Speaker 9Shut her down. We've got an hour or two.
Speaker 10I thought we were heading straight for the well. Sam needs a little time with the stylesons. Oh. Did I ever tell you that Quill asked me once to mentor Magnus? He's a capable craftsman. True, he's good. No doubt about that. But uh with the craftsman came the creative. Boden? Aye, they're a package deal, those two. And you know how patient and calm I can be when dealing with wispies. Camden? I'm sorry, I shouldn't use such language, but you know how the creatives are pulled this way and that. Oh, there's a bird. Or look, this guy's telling me something. Of course, of course, now, Sage was a creative, but uh he had the sense of a craftsman. What did you tell Quill? I told him the truth. There was only one young person I was interested in mentoring. You. Camden. I still want to know more about my parents. I know you do. You deserve that. Oh, well, if it isn't a lovely Liana, how can we help you, las?
Speaker 12Are we going?
Speaker 10Waiting for Sam. He had some business with Boden and Magnus.
Speaker 12Great.
Speaker 10How do you like the train, Liana?
Speaker 12Oh, it's nice. Arcus, I never noticed that scar before. The one over your left eye?
Speaker 5Oh, this? I had an accident. He fought with a cave and one.
Speaker 12Well, I like it. Makes you look older. Oh, you know what?
Speaker 10What?
Speaker 12Music. We need music on this train.
Speaker 10Music? Isn't the power of the mist and the metal music enough for you? Don't listen to him. What kind of music?
Speaker 12It's for my mom. She's getting antsy about heading back home.
Speaker 10Say no more, I'll take care of it.
Speaker 12Can you do that?
Speaker 10Can he do that? He practically designed this train himself. Come on, Liana. You can help me.
Speaker 12Fun. I'm game.
Speaker 8What happened to the boat? Big wife. And the boathouse? Big Queen? And the nail in Magnus' foot? Big just big monster nail. Practically flew. Into your foot? Something like that. Can we help you with something, Sam? I stopped by the listening post today to find you. Yeah, we were just there last uh month? For the live show, yes, I know. Keeler told me the post had seen better days.
Speaker 14It was probably Sue and Lou's act. New material needed, am I right?
Speaker 8Magnus, did you see the gearlock train today? What of a kind invention. Bowden! What did you think of my smilings?
Speaker 3Your what? The smilings? Ow! What? The flowers Sam created at Roy's funeral, basket brain. Do you have something to drink, Reggie? We have a little of that ale from the funeral. It's a month old, but as they say. Time reveals the flavor.
Speaker 14I might have finished it.
Speaker 8That's all right. I need some fresh air.
Speaker 3Great, you insulted him. Come on, Bowden. Why?
Speaker 8You know what I love most about Barents and the Sea of Veritas?
Speaker 2No. What?
Speaker 8That right there. The sunset? Yes, the sunset's nice, but no, I'm talking about the sea itself. What does it say to you boys? Adventure. Peace. Reclamation. What does that mean? The life in this sea wasn't here 20 years ago. It was all wasteland. All dead. But Elion reclaimed it.
Speaker 2Yeah, we know. He made it livable. He made it vibrant, boat.
Speaker 8It's teeming with life, and it gives life to the people of the beyond. It has purpose now. Sam? The Gearlock is headed east this evening, first to the well to drop me off, and then to Brissolet. Boys, I think a visit to the jungle and some time with Ramulus and Liana might inspire you.
Speaker 2Oh well, I don't.
Speaker 8Uh it would please your father to see you boys moving in a new direction. Train leaves in an hour. I'm sorry, Sam. For what? Not living up to our potential. With Elion, anything and anyone can be reclaimed.
Speaker 2You're thinking about leaving, aren't you? Maybe. What about the engine? What about those blueprints? What about us? You could go too, you know. I'm going back to the ship because that engine's got my name on it. And I'm going home to pack and to get this blasted nail out of my foot. Fine, fine.
Speaker 5Almost got it.
Speaker 12What do you like about Cerek?
Speaker 5Oh, the glaciers. They make you feel so close to the clouds. When I'm there, I feel free to think, and anything's possible. Have you ever been there?
Speaker 12No, never had a reason.
Speaker 5Why do you like Brissolet?
Speaker 12Everything? I love seeing how living things are connected to each other.
Speaker 5There. Attack into the radio frequency. I think this is the Labyrinth Woods Orchestra.
Speaker 12Perfect. Thanks, Arcus.
Speaker 5Liana?
Speaker 12Yes?
Speaker 5Is it hard to say goodbye?
Speaker 12What do you mean?
Speaker 5To someone you love.
Speaker 12I don't think I'll ever learn to say goodbye to my dad. I don't plan on it anyways. Are you coming with us to the well?
Speaker 5That's a yes.
Speaker 7Sanitation is next to creation.
Speaker 11Wait. I have to remember his nickname.
Speaker 7Imitation is unacceptable. You must be unique.
Speaker 11Beetle! It's Beetle, that's right. I forgot. I kept thinking worm.
Speaker 4Liana loves my imitation. She usually throws something at me.
Speaker 12Liana loves what? Nothing. Ugh, please do not poison this train with his name. Did you hear the music?
Speaker 6I love this orchestra. It's one of my dreams to play with them. Where do they play? In the labyrinth forest south of Sirac. Very isolated place. Perfect for making music. Is that where our labyrinth trees come from? Yes. I visited once and pleaded with your father to plant some of their trees at home. When the wind hits them, they make sounds that are so haunting, so emotional.
Speaker 4Back to the game.
Speaker 6Sorry.
Speaker 11Okay, my turn. Good luck with this one. Oh, look at my boots! Oh, si okay, too easy. My legging is groggy. Reggie! Show off. Your turn.
Speaker 4Wait, I got one. Made from the best metal.
Speaker 11I don't know. Give me another.
Speaker 4I don't know if I can dance. Me? Arcus! I didn't see you there. Yes. Yes, I was. Do I really sound like that?
Speaker 12No, my brother's an idiot. You sound intellectual. On aboard? Sam, is it time?
Speaker 8Just spoke to Camden. Should be heading out soon. I'm waiting to see if we have a couple more passengers.
Speaker 5I better go then. Enjoy the ride, everyone.
Speaker 12Thanks again, Arcus.
Speaker 8Sam, your hair is quite windswept. Uh spent some time at the beach today. Well, come on in.
Speaker 4Join us, Uncle. We're doing imitations.
Speaker 8Oh boy. That usually doesn't end well.
Speaker 12You're seriously thinking of doing one, aren't you?
Speaker 8Of course I am. How about this? Here, hold my drink while I take a swing at you.
Speaker 11Um I don't know. Another clue.
Speaker 8Seriously, Kyla? Don't tell me where to go or when to arrive.
Speaker 11I'm lost.
Speaker 8Ride! Ride into the beyond.
Speaker 11I don't know. You're joking. What? Stop smirking at me, Ram. What's so funny? Am I supposed to know?
Speaker 8You're such a good bike, Des. Yes, yes, you are.
Speaker 11Dad?
Speaker 4I don't know, Sam. Maybe she's not the best candidate for second-in-command.
Speaker 11Watch yourself. I can banish you to the wasteland.
Speaker 8Careful, Ramulus. She means it. Enjoy the ride. We'll be at the well in a few hours.
Speaker 11Sam, wait up. Did you have a chance to talk to Bowden and Magnus?
Speaker 8That's who I'm waiting on. Hoping they'll join us. Walk with me.
Speaker 13I told you. We can do this on our own. I don't think so. We need him. We got Reggie. Seriously? Look at him. Your brother Bo.
Speaker 2Okay, fine. Maybe we won't have Magnus, but we have this.
Speaker 14What was that? Did you hear something? We don't even know what it does. According to our instructions, it has to get beyond the wall first.
Speaker 2Listen, someone wants us to go and we're going to go. Go where?
Speaker 3Magnus? Beyond what wool? Uh nice coin. Haven't seen that in a month. I was going to tell you.
Speaker 2Really? Because that's not what it sounded like. Well, we thought you left. All mopey and listening to that sob story from Sam about reclaiming whatever that meant. I came to get you.
Speaker 3You can be such a say it. Give me the coin. No. It doesn't belong to you. We found it together. Gimme the coin. Bowden. Bowden. Come here.
unknownNo.
Speaker 3Boys, please. Shut up, Red. Shutting up.
Speaker 2You missed it, big boy.
Speaker 3Get off my back. Not until you stop. All right. You give me no choice. Ow.
Speaker 14Right up against the wolf. You heard his back, Maggie. Oh, that would have to be.
Speaker 2I said. Just stop. You're strangling him. No, I'm not. Just cutting off some air. Stop, Maggie. You lied. I did not. I just didn't tell you everything.
Speaker 14You see breathing? He's fine. Well, he's not gonna be happy when he wakes up. I won't be here to see. Relax.
Speaker 2All we have to do is get the Lucy in the water, and he'll come around. But he said he wanted to go in the train.
Speaker 14He's my brother. I know what he wants. I hope you're right. Come on. We ain't got time. We need food and supplies. I'll get the pork call. No. You get the gang down here to help us get Lucy back in the water. I'll get the food. We're going through the wall of water.
Speaker 2Do you hear me? And we're not turning back. Ai aye, Captain.
Speaker 8Close the door. So?
Speaker 11I traveled as close to Cereg's Island as I could get. Nothing. No clues of anyone sailing there or making contact with him.
Speaker 8Just as I thought. Here.
Speaker 11What's this?
Speaker 8An audio file.
Speaker 11On what?
Speaker 8Ah, on who? I want you to travel to Brisolet. Stay with the Goodwins for a while.
Speaker 11How long's a while?
Speaker 8You know Protus, otherwise known as Beetle?
Speaker 11What about him?
Speaker 8Listen to the file. Share it with no one. It's been over a month, and I still don't know how my brother died.
Speaker 11You want me to watch him?
Speaker 8I need a nose hound.
Speaker 11Say no more.
Speaker 8And Kyla. Discretion is the better part of valor.
Speaker 11I'll be safe.
